ILNS Photowalk

What began as a simple summer photowalk at the Fish Quay has quietly become something much more meaningful. As part of #ILNSPhotowalkOne, around thirty of us met for the first time, cameras in hand, a little unsure, but instantly connected by our shared love for North Shields and photography. There was something special about wandering the quay together, noticing the textures of the boats, the shifting light on the Tyne, and the familiar streets through fresh eyes. That morning didn’t just produce beautiful photographs; it sparked friendships, confidence and a sense of belonging. Seeing those images then eventually to be displayed at the Globe Gallery feels incredibly full circle, proof that when creativity and community meet, wonderful things can happen.
