Little Moments from life lately

A Few Moments From Lately

Looking back through these photos, I’m reminded just how much can happen in what feels like a relatively short space of time.

Life has felt full lately, not necessarily in a dramatic or life-changing way, but in a collection of moments that, when stitched together, tell the story of a season I’ll look back on fondly.

There have been early mornings spent chasing sunrises along the coast, standing on quiet beaches with a coffee in hand while the rest of the world was still asleep. There have been trips north to Scotland, days exploring familiar places and discovering new ones and plenty of walks where I somehow managed to combine photography, fresh air and a coffee stop.

There was a little getaway to Scarborough, time spent by the sea and the simple joy of slowing down for a few days.

Professionally, there have been some moments that I never want to take for granted. Seeing my work displayed in one of my favourite cafés was one of those surreal experiences that made me stop and appreciate how far this journey has come. I was also fortunate enough to be featured a fair amount in the latest issue of ILNS magazine too!.

One of the highlights has been helping to launch and run our first photography collective store. Watching an idea grow into something tangible and seeing people connect through a shared love of photography, has been incredibly rewarding. Alongside that, we hosted our first portrait workshop, another reminder of how powerful creative communities can be when people come together to share ideas, stories and experiences.

Of course, not every meaningful moment comes with a milestone attached to it.

Some of my favourite memories are the quieter ones. The conversations over coffee. The spontaneous coastal walks. The evenings spent watching the sea. The ordinary days that don’t seem particularly significant at the time, yet somehow become the moments we remember most clearly later on.

Life isn’t always easy, and it certainly isn’t perfect. There are challenges, worries and difficult days mixed in with the good ones. But when I look back through these photographs, I’m reminded that there has also been so much to be grateful for.

Perhaps that’s one of the reasons I love photography so much. It encourages me to pause and notice things I might otherwise overlook. It helps me hold onto moments that would have quickly slipped by.

And somewhere amongst all of this, I now officially have two teenagers. I’m not entirely sure where all those years went :(

Time has a habit of moving much faster than we’d like, which makes me even more grateful for the moments worth remembering.

So here’s to the big milestones, the unexpected opportunities, the quiet moments, the adventures, the coffee stops, the sunrises and everything in between.

Because more often than not, it’s all those little moments that end up making a life.
