Huts in the Hills

This was my third stay here, and honestly, it just gets better every time. I stayed in the Cheviot hut this time, complete with the dreamiest outdoor bath and a huge stargazing roof that lets you fall asleep under the night sky.

Mornings were spent watching the sun rise over the hills, the light catching the autumn leaves as they danced in the wind, total peace. Evenings were for soaking in the bath, watching the last light fade over the countryside, and pretending I’d never have to leave.

It’s always such a joy to photograph these huts, the attention to detail, the way they blend seamlessly into the landscape, catch the changing light, and capture everything I love about Northumberland. I’ve always been a coastal girl at heart, but every time I come here, I fall a little more in love with the countryside too. It feels like coming home in a different way, calm, cosy, and full of inspiration.
