Hadrians Wall Huts
A Stay at Hadrian’s Wall Huts
Nestled near the highest point of Hadrian’s Wall, Hadrian’s Wall Huts offer a truly special escape in one of Northumberland’s most iconic landscapes. The hut provides the perfect base for exploring this remarkable World Heritage Site, where history and natural beauty meet in every direction.
From the doorstep, you can wander along the ancient Roman wall, taking in sweeping views across rolling countryside. The hut sits just a short walk from where Sycamore Gap once stood and is close to The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre, making it an ideal location for both history lovers and nature enthusiasts.
Inside, the hut is cosy and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches that create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, a true home away from home. Evenings were spent sipping hot chocolate by the log burner or cooking dinner on the outdoor BBQ fire while soaking up the peaceful views.
Mornings were just as magical, with coffee enjoyed while watching the birds at the feeders. What truly makes this place unforgettable, though, are the views, golden sunrises and sunsets that bathe the landscape in light, and at night, the vast dark skies filled with stars. Watching them emerge above the hut was an experience I’ll never forget.
