Holy Island is one of those rare places that feels truly timeless, and my stay at Tidal Cottage captured that magic perfectly. Being able to stay on the island meant I could slow down complete, exploring every corner, watching the light change across the sand, and soaking in the quiet beauty without worrying about the tide times.
Tidal Cottage is everything you could want in a peaceful island retreat. Beautifully decorated, calm and cosy, with thoughtful touches throughout, it feels instantly welcoming. Mornings began with coffee in hand, walking to the beach as the village slowly woke up. Evenings were spent curled up by the fire, the sound of the wind outside adding to the sense of calm.
Staying in the heart of the village allowed me to experience Holy Island at its most peaceful, early mornings, quiet evenings, and everything in between. It was the kind of stay that lingers with you long after you’ve left.
